Program Engineer (Entry-Level)

Our customer located in Warren, MI is looking to fill the role of Program Engineer (Entry-Level) on a long-term contractual basis.

Position Summary

The company is seeking an Entry-Level Program Manager / Engineer. This is a "hands-on" position for a candidate with the drive and motivation for an entry-level position, with opportunity to move within the company.

The ideal candidate will have about a year of experience in an internship or co-op role. Candidates do not require a lot of work experience as they will be working and learning directly under a seasoned Program Manager or Senior Engineer. Candidates with 1 to 3 years of post-college work experience may also be considered.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required. Candidates with a degree in Engineering Technology or a related field may be considered dependent on the school.
• Ford experience, knowledge of APQP, and knowledge of plastics (fascia, interior trim, exterior trim, instrument panel) and injection molding are highly preferred.

This position does require 30% to 40% travel. The program is a 3 year product launch. During the first 2 years of the program, travel will be in the 10% to 20% range and will mainly be limited to day trips. However, during the 3rd year of the product launch, travel will be heavy (30% to 40%) and will include destinations in the U.S., Canada, and Hermosillo, Mexico.
